LAUNCESTON PRINTERS. [By Electric Telegram—Copyright) [United Press Association.] (Received 11.30 a.m.) Launceston, January 16. The printers demand the same terms as, given to Hobart and declined to accept the masters' terms. Both papers are still produced on reduced form.
MELBOURNE WATERSIDERS.
Melbourne, January 16
At a conference of the Shipowners' Association and the Waterside Workers' Federation, the former refused increased wages. It was claimed that the Federation's new demands were too extravagant to he entertained. The employers are awaiting the Federation's next move, Mr Hughes refusing to cite the employers before the Arbitration Court.
