Drury Lain; Orange Women formed a deputation to Mr McKenna, Home Secretary, to plead permission to continue to sell. Representatives of the trade sat in the rear of the room with baskets of fruit, while the spokesman stated the case.
Mr McKenna promised to rescind police action, and the women, standing, shouted "Cod bless you!"
