Wreck of R.M.S. Cobequid
ASHORE ON BRIAR ISLAND.
FEARS OF HER FOUNDERING.
IBy Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 12.10 p.m.) New York, January 13. The royal mail steamer Cobequid, from West indies to Halifax, is ashore at Briar Island. Wireless reported the vessel as in a highly dangerous position, and that 150 persons were aboard. Tugs were despatched. A terrific storm is raging. Later the wireless ceased, and it is feared the vessel foundered.
