WEATHER FORECAST.
The Government Meteorologist (Re\ D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows:
The indications are for strong winds" to gale prevailing; but southerly tendency. Heavy rain is to be expected with rivers rising. The weather will probably prove squally, with heavy showers. Barometer unsteady.
