The High Commissioner’s cable dated London, January 10th; states, inter alia:— * Butter.—There has been no material change in the market, with fair dcman ( j at slightly lower prices. New Zealand continues in moderate demand. Danish 127 s to 130 s, New Zealand 116 s to 120 s, Australian 110 s to 115 s, Argentine 110 s to Ills, Siberian 108 s to 112 s. Cheese.—The market remains firm with increasing demand and prices firmer for New Zealand. Canadian white 66s to 68s, colored 68s to 695, New Zealand white 65s to 665, colored 60s to 675, Australian 6ls to 665. The wool market remains firm.
