The Kosslein dam, between the Baltic Sea and Bukow Lake, burst in three places, the village of Damkerort being overwhelmed. A hundred villagers are missing. ONLY THE ROOFS VISIBLE. BLUEJACKETS TO THE RESCUE. Received 9.30 a.m.) Berlin, January 11. A telescope shows that only the roofs iu the flooded village of Damkerort are visible. Troops of bluejackets are hastening to the rescue, flic flood cut off other villages, Nent. a. fishing village, is under water. Many buildings in the Dutizig district were washed away.
