The Now South Wales Rowing League considered Albany'* letter asking the League's opinion of his action in challenging Barry for the championship in view of the fact that he bona fidely challenged before Paddon interposed, and called upon Marry to cover the £2OO deposit. The opinion was expressed that Barry should row Albany, and a resolution was adopted that the League considered Barry's ehi'iin of £ooo for the championship was unreasonable, considering that G2OO was specified.
