Newspapers. —Town and Inland, id ich, United Kingdom, Australia, Cauda, Ceylon, India, Jamaica, Natal, •range River, South Sea Islands, and Tansvaal, Id each paper. If under oz. sent by first available route ; over >z. sent by direct steamer only; un>ss specially addressed and paid at te of Id for first 4oz. and id for each ncceeding 2oz. All other places Id ich under 4oz. and id each extra 2cz. TELEPHONES. Charges —At exchanges continuousopen—Business establishments, £7 ; ■ivate residences, £5 per annum, xchanges not continuously open, an inal charge of £5. Telephone Exchanges at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, .Dunedin, ivercargill, Napier, Hastings, Palmston North, and Wanganui are open 1 day and all night.
