A court-martial sentenced Colom Labrador, a Protestant, to six months imprisonment for refusing to attew Mass before holding a court-martial of which Colonel Labrador himseit was previously appointed president. The sentence places the Romai Catholic Church in an awkward dilemma, it being a direct violation of its precepts forbidding the celebration of Mass in the presence -of non-Roman Catholic or excommunicated persons.
