Tyrell, a horse-trainer, Charles Emerson, an ex-New Zealand jockey, and the horse Strathfield, have been suspended for a year in connection with Strathfield's running in the Park Stakes at the Canterbury Park races on Saturday. AUSTRALIAN NOMINATIONS. (Received 10.25 a.m.) Sydney, January 7. One hundred and forty-five nominations have been received for the Doncaster Handicap. They include Emperador, Rinaldo, Bon Reve, Bandiera, Athenic, Vajido, and Beau Soult.
For tile Sydney Cup 92 were received, including Cherubim, Rinaldo* Midnight Sun, Soultoria, and Beau Soult. Melbourne, January 7.
Eighty-nine entries were received for the Oakley Plate. They include Athenic and Valido. For the Newmarket Handicap 114 were received, including Royal Scutch, Ireland, Antoinette, Athenic, Valido, Beau Soult.
Sixty-two were received for the Australian Cup, including Royal Scotch.
