SIR JOSEPH WARD ESCHEWS POLITICS. [Per Press Association.] Christchurch, January 2. Sir Joseph Ward left for the West Coast to-day in order to attend the jubilee celebrations. He declined to discuss politics, but it is understood be has been conferring with local Liberals, many of whom want to see the Liberal Party make a substantial stop forward in the matter of policy before next session.
