As a result of an agitation through the United States against the system of interlocking directorates, whereby a single firm often controlled a dozen huge organisations, the J- PMorgan Company voluntarily withdrew frdni the New York Central, New Haven, and other railways wherein they had controlling interest. The company explains that their action was dictated by deference to public south meut alone.
