The World's Peace.

ARMAMENTS LIMITATION.

TURKEY AND GREECE.

[By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] London, January 2.

Reuter reports that Greek official circles are not perturbed by Turkey’s purchase of the battleship Rio de Janeiro, but are only surprised that iurkey has revealed her designs upon the Aagean Islands. Greece, they say, will have plenty of time during the next six months to consider what action she will take. In the last resort, she always has effectual means of ensuring that the Turkish Dreadnought will not leave British waters. If mercenaries are used to man the vessel a delicate international question will arise. The fact that navies can always be strengthened by the purchase of South American Dreadnoughts is a constant menace to the world’s peace and a serious obstacle to the limitation of armaments.

MORE BATTLESHIPS WANTED.

Paris, January 2

Le Temps says that Turkey, Greece and Italy have approached the Argentine Republic with a view to the sale of two Dreadnoughts, the Moreno and the Rivadavia, now under trial in the United States.
