NEW ZEALANDERS CRITICISED. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [b.JXKU Press association.] (Received 11..35 a.m.) Sydney, December .'3l. The Herald, commenting on tTie .New Zealanders’ cricket, says; I'Alter a meritorious victory over Queensland they were expected to make a good showing against -New South Wales, but the display of he visitors was very disappointing to enthusiasts because the Now Zealanders finite failed to do justice to their skill with the bat. The chief difficulty appeared to be the inability to rightly gauge the pace of pitch. The majority of the all too unfamiliar methods of deception in the “bosie” art were practised. Hailey, Andrews, and Sandman were notable exceptions, 'and were certainly the batting success of the side. The bowling, too, withstood the batting onslaught well, Jhe visit to Sydney is fraught with, much interest, giving instruction in studying the methods of established masters of the game.”
