THE TURKISH NAVY.
SUPREMACY OVER GREECE. (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright ’ [United Press Association.] London, December 30. Turkey has paid Armstrong, Whitworth aiul Co. £1,200,000 as the first instalment on the purchase of the battleship Rio do Janeiro. The remainder, £2,340,000, will bo paid in a few months, thus securing naval supremacy over Greece. Turkey has also purchased £250,000 worth ol ammunition from Armstrong, Whitworth and Co.
