MILK AND TUBERCULOSIS.
THE FEAR OF INFECTION.
[By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] Times —Sydney Sun Special Cables. (Received 8.0 a.m.) London. December 30.
Dr. Robert Mondson, of the Experimental Farm, Seven Oaks, who has devoted several years to investigating the .relationship between milk and tuberculosis- maintains that sterilised or condensed milk is dangerous to children, and definitely disposes them to Tubercular infection. Healthy children received at Creches were fed on sterilised milk and made ill. Sir Almroth Wright agrees that too much is being made of so-called exclusion of infection and hygiene, as it is impossible to completely exclude infection. The well nourished possessed powers of resisting disease, which is their best protection.
