BOWLING.

(By P. Steward.) At 'the Wanganui bowling tournament, Gordon (Wanganui) won in Section A, Sutcliffe (Marton) in Section I). Foy (Hawera) in Section C, and Abbot in Section 1). The finals are being played to-day. The Stratford players were not very successful, judging hy detailed results to hand. At tho: end of the fourth round Masters' rink had secured two wins in Section A, while McMillan at the same stage in Section 15 had none to his credit. : llawera sent five rinks to Waverley on Boxing Day and suffered defeat hy 7 points—Waverley 121, llawera 11/. RIFLE SHOOTING. The drawing for competitions for the Taranaki Rifie Club's Challenge Shield are as follows : —Eltham, Stratford, Tahoi-a,' Ihglewood, New Plymouth. Each team will compete with Kaponga, at their range, until that team is defeated, when the winning team's range will become the deciding ground, until that team is in turn defeated.
