DUTY OF THE CHURCH.
[United Press Association.]
London, December 29
The Primate (Archbishop Davidson), preaching in Canterbury Cathedrals said tliat the Kingdom's governance would soon rest, indirectly at any rate, on the organised industrial strength of its manhood, and possibly of its manhood and womanhood together, it was a force capable of realising politically the noblest ideals, and it-was in nowise irreligious. But the giant, he continued, was still young,- and the Church ought to take a wide outlook and contemplate with reverent hope the great .group, of i'a'cty and associations 1: wherein '.. these ideals are fashioning. He asked the people to offer prayers on behalf of what was intended to be for the betterment of the world.
