As a result of a heavy fall of snow, the telegraph and telephone wires between Paris and the provinces were interrupted. THE LUDGATE RE-FLOATED. London, December 29. A huge combine in the galvanised, corrugated and sheet iron trade, to restrict the output, will operate early in the new year. ' Each firm will be permitted to make its own terms with its customers, but there arc some suggestions that a limit should be fixed representing the possible maximum selling price. The arrangement provides for a reduction of the output when prices are not remunerative.
