Oliver Noel Gillespie, solicitor, ol 'eilding, who at Palmerston North leaded guilty to eight charges of raudnlently failing to account for loneys received, came before the hief .Justice to-day. Counsellor reused suggested that it would b< f great importance to prisoner to gr iirough his accounts and he felt sure hat if {Gillespie were granted six eeks or two months with his books. onsiderable sums might be recovered [e asked the Court to postpone senaccordingly.
His Honor: If there is any likeli ood of part of the money being reovered I don't object to that course. Counsel then evidence to assure the Court that tjheue was some vrospect in that direction, and His rlonor postponed sentence until 17th February. Bail was allowed—£2oo censed'h own recognisance, a;nd tw urettes of £3OOO each.
