Vancouver, December 18
Captain Lane, of the schooner Polar Bear, declares he knows that the steauer Karluk is lost and that Captain Bartlett is undoubtedly dead, but Stefansson, with his party, is safely ashore at Point Barrow. Captain Lane has just arrived from northern ports.
