A recent copy of the Jewish Chronicle ('London) has been forwarded to c Wellington resident showing the man. ner in which any objectionable matter is dealt with in the kingdom of the Czar. The copy in question contain*'. 1 as a supplement two pages of a previous issue of the Chronicle, in which had been reprinted from the New N or*c Independent an open letter to the Czar, dealing with the recent shocking persecution of Jews as the outcome of the Reilliss case. This copy had been sent to a Russian subscriber, who had received the same with the whole of the article completely blacked out.
