MATTHEWS, CAMLIN AND CO’S.
REPORT,
Matthews, Gamliu, and Co. report that on Friday last they held their horse fair as advertised in laidbrook ,stables, when: there was a fair entry. There was practically no lor horses of any kind, and very few changed hands.* Hacks made from £8 to £ls, others 20s to Jos, milk carters £l6.
On Wednesday the usual stock sale was held, there being a fair yarding, considering the inclement weather, and nearly all lines yarded were sold at satisfactory prices. Forward cows made from £1 os to £5 9s, fat and forward do. £6 to £6 9s, light and poorconditioned cows £3 2s to £8 19s, 16montlis heifers £2 17s 6d to £4 2s, smaller £2 5s to £2 12s 6d, cows and calves £5 2s 6d, springing heifers £4 2s 6d, springing cows £5 2s 6d, steers 37g*6d to 62s 6d, bulls £4 6s to £7 14s, fat and forward ewes 12s 3d.
