The following extracts are mad from the latest District Orders, dat-

I Naval and Military Tournament. 1914 attending th< tournament, and staying in camp, wil be under military discipline. The> j will be required to report at the Adjutant's office immediately on arrival. 1 and sign their names in the Attend-, ance Book. Tents will then be allotted, and the numbers told off to the tent, a X.C.O. or Senior Private being placed in charge of each tent Straw will only be issued to thos< who bring palliasses. Field Service Uniform—cap and slouch hat. For the information Of those arriving by train, and proceeding to camp, the undermentioned trams departing from Queen Street stop at the camp (Ca-no-bell Show Grounds): Epsom, Onehunga. The Union Steam Ship Company will make a reduction of 10 per cent on fares and freights on horse? of competitors from ports of embarkation, on production of certificates of bona fide entry from the Tournament Committee. The Railway Department informs that horses taking part in the tournament, conveyed on the outward journey by rail, will, be ~ returned free of charge from the ori-. ginal destination station to the original forwarding station on production of a certificate signed by the tary of the tournament. The return journey must be.ma.de within two.; weeks of date ;of. outward journey. When horses are booked two. or in a truck or horsq„box, they, must be .returned together loaded, iu ■ one truckW box, otherwise. ordinary rates 'will;be /charged for'the additional trucks or box used for the return journey. Final programmes with names and numbers of competitors, instructions for judges, conditions, and rules for combats, etc., may be obtained on application and remittance of 6d for each copy. A special prize has been presented for the best all-round Morse, signaller, who, will be selected by the. judges from the.teams competing in event 26'... Competitors are reminded that the exact number accommodation is required for,in camp should be sent in by the 16th December. It has been decided that cadet teams in route marching competition may use kettle drums. A supply of new M.L.E. Rifles (long) is now available for issue, on payment to members of defence rifle clubs. Requisitions on form Gl4, accompanied by remittance, to be sent to the local Officer Commanding Area Group, who will sign and forward requisitions direct to Director of Equipment and Stores. Wellington. A supply of Sam-Brown belts has been received into store .and will be issued on payment of 12s each.
