WEATHER FORECAST.
The Government Meteorologist (Rev D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows: — The indications are for an .unfavorable change in the weather. Westerly strong winds to gale and veering by west to south after about 24 to 36 hours. Heavy rain is to be expected, with rivers rising shortly. Barometer falling,' but rising after about 24 hours.
