Five men arrived at their fiancee's home simultaneously, while 50 were at the same time engaged to Louise Farris. Louise succeeded in getting large sums of ruld, diamonds, and bracelets from vould-be wooers. One victim was r-.tated to be a well-known pugilist. Whenever gifts arrived at the Farris' ionic a general scramble ensued. Whoever succeeded in grabbing a package kept the contents. The recital kept the court in laughter throughout.
