London, December 16. Two nineteen-year-old girls, rivals in affection for an Apache, stripped to the waist and fought a duel savagely with knives in the. east end of Paris in the presence of large crowds.

One was stabbed badly on the bead and chest and was taken to the hospital. The other escaped before the police arrived.
