Ernest Kelly was hanged at Manchester for murdering Bardsley. a bookseller, at Oldham on July 26th. Several hundred OJdham women and youths marched to Manchester to protest* against Mr McKenna’s refusal of ail 'appeal. 1 The sympathy with Kelly Avas due to the fact that Edward Hilton, his accomplice, was reprieved.
