.[Tlie Navy League gave a Iqncheon to Captain Halsey and the officers of H.MJS.- New Zealand at the Hotel Cecili Mr R. A. Yerlmrgh, M.P.; presided, and the Duke of Norfolk, Lords Halsbury, Sydenham j and Blytli, Admirals Fremantle and Moore, were present. Mr Churchill said New Zealand's gift at a serious crisis was one of the greatest acts _of far-seeing imagination any modern State could claim credit for. In some respects it might be considered, an example and forerunner. f Mr Churchill also paid a tribute to'Australia’s sacrifice and exertions-.
