TIMBER MILLS DESTROYED.

Dargaville, December 17
Through a disastrous fire the Tikopuru kauri timber mills were completely destroyed. The loss is estimated at £'40,000. About 100 mill hands were thrown idle, which means practically the ruination of the township.
