STRATFORD SCHOOL.
POSTPONEMENT OF SPORTS. The Stratford School Committee has lecided to postpone the school sports vhich had been arranged for to-mor-ow. The weather has been so stormy hat even if it were to break fine in lie morning the enjoyment of the fathering, which is in the nature of a iig picnic, must be marred by the coalitions underfoot. Then, again, the nrls’ swimming competitions at the laths, which form no inconsiderable mrt of the day's proceedings, would ie unfavorably conducted, owing to he cooling temperature of the water, md it is undoubted that the mothers vould feel keenly the disappointment vf being unable to be present. The Committee, therefore, have decided to vait for more settled weather, and the oorts will be held on a Thursday in. February after the opening of the ichool.
All the prizes will be presented at he school to-morrow afternoon, at 2 t’clock, when the Committee will he oleased to see as many parents preent as possible.
