TEAM FOR NEW ZEALAND.
Melbourne, December 16. Arthur Sims, captain of the New Zealand cricket team of 1905 has returned from a trip to England and is now engaged in organising an Australian team to visit New Zealand. Ii was hoped to arrange matches foi Christmas and New Year, but it was found that some players it was wisheo to include were unwilling to go until the Sheffield Shield matches were completed. Tlie trip was, therefore, post poned till the beginning of February. Trumper, Collins, Armstrong, Bans ford, and McKenzie have applied to accompany the team and applications from other leading players are expected.
