WEATHER FORECAST.
The Government Meteorologist (Rev D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows:
The indications are for variable and strong breezes. Easterly strong winds to gale prevailing, and backing by east to south. The weather will probably prove thick and foggy. Heavy rain is to he expected. Barometer falling, but Vising after about 24 to 36 hours. Then good.
