■ [Pee Press Association.] The High Commissioner's cable from London under date December 6, states inter alia: ■. ' Butter.—The market is firm and at the advance. New Zealand choices i. in great demand owing to he s hoit K „pply. Danish, 129 to 1325; Not • Zealand, 128 to 130; Australian 118 b to 1245; Argentine, 118 s to 1225; Siberian, 108 s to 112 s. Cheese.—The market is firmer with fair demand. English cheddar, 80s to 84s; Canadian, white, 65s to 6/s; colored, 66s to 68s; New Zealand, white, 60s to 665; colored, 66s to 6/s; Australian, 62s to 655; Dutch, 61s to 635. It is estimated that the Canadian cheese stocks at London, Liverpool, and Bristol on Ist December wa 309,000 boxes, against 365,000 last j«ar. New Zealand and Australian •tocks for the same dates at London and Bristol were 5700 crates against 8000. (
