FALL FROM A TREE.

[Per Press Association.] Auckland, December 5

Clarence Lionel Reid, 12 years of age, died yesterday as a result of an accident which he met with a fortnight ago. He was found lying unconscious under a tree on his. father's farm, and' it is supposed that he had fallen off the. tree. A medical examination showed that he had suffered a compound fracture of an arm and a leg, and was also suffering from concussion of the brain. At an inquest, held this morning, the coroner returned a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence. THROWN-FROM A f TRAP. Nelson, December 5. Charles Holman, an old resident of Lyall, was killed instantaneously today through being thrown from a trap

and kicked on the head by a horse. His daughter was also thrown out but she escaped with a shaking. The harness broke and the horse became unmanageable.
