NOVEMBER RAINFALL.
HERE AND THERE. 1 Details supplied by Miss N. Trimble show that the rainfall in Inglewood during Noveraher totalled 12.55 in. The highest fall was on the 17th (2.15 hi.), other good falls being 1.19 in. on the 6th, Loßin. on the Bth, .97in. on the 16th, and Tin. on the 24th, and there were falls of over half an inch on the 26th, 27th, 2§th and 30th. No rain fell on nine days. . The Following paragraphs, from the Hawera "Sta.r'Vare j( interesting:— The present bids fair.'to be one of the wettest earls summers on record. During Ndveinber about.4i inches of rain fell in Hawera. Another 30 points were; registered on -Monday morning, and 29 this morning, and the rain stilj falls..
Our Ararata correspondent wi:tcs that the total. rainfall for November was 3.3 inches. Rain fell on 19 days, the highest being 0.59 on the 28th and the lowest 0.02 on the 19th. The average pressure was 28.6—highest 28.9, lowest 28.3 ; average temperature 59—highest 72 and the lowest 52-. Although rain fell on six more days this November than in Octeober, the total was 1.29 inches less.
The following are the rain records for Riverlea for, October and November: October, with 7.66 in. on 18 days, was the', third 'wettest month of the year. On four days over ati inch per day was recorded. 'The'highest fall was 1.67 on {he 23rd and the other three, were A',l2. on. the 2,2nd, 1.26 on the 17th, and 1.54 on the ;ißth. The lowest fall was 0.02 on tlie 19th. November easily holds' the ehAmp io nsWP for the year so' far with 10.35 inched on 20, days,. The highest fall was 1.50 on the 25th and the lowest 0.02 on the-12th and 23rd. On two other day.s, the. 26th and. 27th, the ifall to'talled over an inch; being 1.01• on the 26th and L 46 on the 27th. May, with 8.57, was the second wettest month so far. This also fell on 20 days." Mr,H. E. Adams supplies the following details; of the rainfall at Patea for November to the "Press" :—4.95 inches fell on 20 days; maximum .93 on 27th. During November, 1912, 6.36 .inches fell on 15 days.
