TROPHIES: Trophies to the value,of. £5. each will he presented to the riders of the. winners of the Farmers’ Plate and Ladies' Purse respectively. PENALTIES. The winner of any flat race after the publication of weights'to carry 71hs. pen., and for every additional race a further penalty of 71hs, or, if he thinks fit, the handicappor may re-handicap the winner of any race after the. declaration of weights. Owners shall he responsible for the accuracy of the, weights to lie carried hv their horses. (Rule XIX-11.) DEFINITION OF A HACK. (Flat and Hurdle Races).

No horse shall start in any Hack Flat Race which has at any time prior to the time of entry, won a race of the value of £IOO to the. winner, or races to the aggregate value of £250 to the winner, nor in any Hack Hurdle Race or Steeplechase which has at any time prior to the time of entry, won a race of the value of £l5O to the winner, or yaces of the -aggregate value of £4OO to the winner.
