The Government Meteorologist (Rev D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows:
The indications are for westerly winds, strong to gale and veering by wes + to south. The weather will p"o----hahly prove squally and changeable. Rain probable. The barometer lias a falling tendency, but is unsteady.
