LONDON WOOL SALES,

The New Zealand Bonn and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house under date 2-jth inst;—There was a full attendance at (the opening of the safes to-day, competition by buyers being la il l v active. iAs compared with la>t sales’ closing rates prices are about the same for coarse crossbred and merino, and are about •") per emit lower for line and medium crossbreds. The opening catalogues were fairly representative. Mr Newton King has received the following advice re London woo! sales: j “Sales have opened with a good tone, j there being a large attendance of buyers, and competition good. For crossbred line, market has declined • > per cent. For all other descriptions lof wool market shows no change.”
