AMUSEMENTS.
THE EOLITES. Mr V. M. Beebe’s company of polite i entertainers will appear in the Town j Mall, Stratford, this evening, and as i there can no longer he any question in i the minds of the Stratford public as to the class ami,the quality of the entertainments provided by Mr Beebe s 'companies, a big success seems as- ! 'sured. While a number of artists in the present company appeared here with Mr Beebe’s former organisation, a complete change has been made in the various items presented, and new | songs, choi‘«ses, concerted num- j hers, dances and specialty acts have replaced those on the previous programme, making the present totally different and in evert way vastly superior. Few, if any, Australasian theatrical managers offer when on tour tne same bill as given in the metropolitan centres; but it is one of Mr Beebe’s beliefs that, with a little working up. this can bo profitably done, and to show the public that he has faith in his own convictions, he has enlarger and improved his present company far past the metropolitan standard. Seldom in the greatest'cities will one see a larger and more varied hill, even in the best of theatres, and the opportunity of seeing the celebrated La/.ern should alone he sufficient attraction to fill our Town Hall to suffocation, to sav nothing of the aerobatic .Artoens, Mr Will White, the Bpckleys, Miss Ella Conrad, and thy other star artists.in the company. One thing is certain with Mr Beebe’s productions, and that is: the most prudish have no need to worry about the nature o! the next turn, the name Bolites is no misnomer, and there is plenty of tol licking fun, but mil is wholesome, bright and refreshing. The prices of admission are 3s, 2s, and Is fid, am seats may be reserved at Mr Ore.bb without extra charge. BERNARD’S PICTURES. An entirely new selection of all sta, feature films will be screened at Hi i Majesty’s this evening. Bathe’s famous 3000 feet coloured drama will take the load. The colouring is stated tobe highly artistic. A Vitagraph drama of a most thrilling order “Stronger Sex,” runs as follows: —After heavy loss at the gaining' table ac Monte Carlo, Edna Mannering oxer cises her wiles on Mr Herbert Ainslev. an aged and wealthy American. H proposes to her, and they are married. After the honeymoon, the* hnsband’r nephew conies to visit them. In< young wife endeavours to arouse tin nephew’s love for her. He resists he. charms, and-in j revenge She’ tells he-, husband that silt has been insultet by bis nephew.
