CELEBRATED VEND CASE.
THE FINES REMITTED.

Fines of £13,500, being £SOO in twenty-seven eases against the coal companies in the celebrated \ end case, have been remitted. The coal companies paid these, but the shipping companies who were involved took the case to the Privy Council, who reversed Mr Justice Isaacs’ judgment.
