BATTERED TO DEATH.
AN ASYLUM TRAGEDY.

A tragedy occurred at the Gladesville Asylum. A patient named Samuel Dyer, wrenching a bar from his bedstead, battered to death another patient named Brown, who was asleep in an adjoining room. He tried to kill two attendants, but was secured after a struggle. Dyer is normally harmless, but is subject to mental storms.
