The engine of the first section of the Canadmn Pacific Co’s, transcontinental train fell in a lake east of Fort William, when it jumped the tracks. The fireman was drowned but the drver leaped clear and saved Ids life. Tho train stayed on the track, otherwise the loss of life might have reached hundreds, as the train was crowded.
