Mr Ed. Jackson’s pony “Barney” secured first award at the Wanganui Show tor best harness pony in a ring of ten. A Press Association telegram from Palmerston North says: The statement 'going the rounds of the press in New Zealand that the Manawatu A. and; P. Association lost £IOOO over the recent show as a result of the effect of the strike and the weather is totally incorrect. ’ The 'gate receipts were £3OO less thdii last 'year,' .but- this was made up hy 'lncreased entry fees, donations, etc'.'
