STRATFORD A. and P. SHOW.

THE ANNUAL SHOW. The Executive Committee of the Stratford A. and P. Show are sparing no effort to make their summer show on the 3rd and 4th December a success, and patrons and exhibitors can rest assured that their comfort will be assured. A glance through the schedule will repay readers. The one-day test seems to be catching on, judging from the entries that are being received. More interest is being taken in the sheep classes this year, particularly in the fat land) and freezers' classes. The home industries section has been J brought right up-to-date by the addi- < tion of further classes and sections for photography, etc. By showing Vhat can be done by the judicious use of recognised brands of manures the Stratford showgrounds are a case in point. Some two months ago the grounds were top-dressed with slag and blood and bone, kindly donated by the leading firms in Stratford. The paddocks off' which the green feed for stock is to.be cut, were shut up on the Ist October, and now they are covered with a growth of white clover, cow-grass, rye-grass, and finer grasses, nearly two feet high. The provision pf green feed for stock at shows is a very important item, and the Stratford Association is particularly, fortunate in having grounds on which such feed can be raised. Probably no finer crop of green feed has been seen in the district, so exhibitors can rely on an abundance for their stock. The feed is cut on the first day of the show and distributed free to users. Entries ■ close on Thursday, 27th November, at I S p.m., and for the convenience of exhibitors the secretary's office will • be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. to receive entries.
