WEATHER FORECAST.
The Government Meteorologist (Rev D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows: The indications are for northerly winds* strong to gale and backing by E. to S. after 21 hours. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled. Hear/ rain is to be expected. Rivers rising. Barometer falling, but rising after about 24 hours.
