A TERRIBLE GALE
MANY LIVES LOST

From further reports of the disasters on the Great Lakes, it is estimated that six freighters sank, drowning 100 sailors.
The overturned freighter is now believed to he the llegina, not Wexford. Divers who went to seek the identity of the /vessel were compelled to return owing to the force of the gale. Lifeboats, water-soaked cargo, and bodies arc strewn on the shores of Lake Huron.
