A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
STRATFORD SHOW. “Stratford Show!” There is a magnetism about those words that luies people on to enquire further into the working of this imporant fixture. The headquarters of this Association aie 'at the Secretary’s Office, Broadway. Stratford,, and just now his office is a hive of industry with the procession of people making entries, which close on Wednesday* 27th November. Entries are being made in all classes, and as there are only two weeks before the closing of entries, intending exhibitors should get in early. A splendid idea has been instituted by the Committee in giving the free use of a loose, box on the grounds for every horse entered, for use in the day time, and for every bull at night. (There are forty of these boxes, and they are booked to exhibitors in the order in which they send their entries. The prize money allotted to this fixture compares favorably with that of any other show in the Dominion, and this in itself should be an inducement to those who possess anythin gof meiit. The show of dogs usually congregated is acknowledged by experts to be the finest collection of canines brought together in Australasia. The grand spectacular parade of all dogs is a sight not often seen, and practically all the champions of New Zealand are here to he seen exhibiting themselves. Exhibitors are here made aware of the benefits derived from the showing of dogs at this Stratford Show; the advertisement contained in the catalogue more than compensates them for their entry fee, as the dog’s pedigree, date of birth, names of breeder and exhibitor, etc., are all contained therein. The loving care and devotion bestowed on all exhibits, the courtesy of officials, and the attention to the smallest detail have been spread by the four winds of heaven to the confines of civilisation.
