“STRIKES UNNECESSARY.”
A MINERS’ MOVEMENT. ( r Electric telegraph—Copyright [L ITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received 9.20 a.m.) Paris, November 12. Mr Smilie, in an interview, said the British miners were satisfied with the legislation arising out of the 1912 strike. Two million miners had combined not to let loose a movement similar to 1912; but to prove their strength by syndical and'politieal action, thereby rendering strikes unnecessary.
