Bain fell steadily overnight but ceased during the morning, and the weather is still dull for the continuation of the CJ.C. Spring Meeting. The attendance was moderate and the going heavy. Results : Suburban Hurdles.—Witched 1, Combination 2, Mercedo 3. Also started: Bravest. Mercedo led Combination round the bacK, but Witched raced past the leaders at the top turn and won very easily, Combination getting within a couple of lengths on sufferance. Barest ...fell,, , Time, 3min 5 4-ssec.
Spring Nursery,—Jtecontre 1, Brocade 2, Charmilla 3. Scratched:'Goodnight. Brocade was early in front, but Recontre caught her at the distance and won by two lengths, Charmilla being half a'letigtlvitway.. Time, oOseo.
Avon Arms 2, Sanguinary 3. Scratched: Gapon, Imagination, Kilts. Gasoline at once went to the front and stayed there, winning by three lengths. Sanguinary, after getting badly away, raced into second place, but was beaten in the last few strides by Royal Arms. Time, linin 30 2-ssec.
